A valuable member of the Dryden GM Ice Dogs is stepping away from the team.
Mike Nerino is departing as his career and vocational commitments grow.
Nerino recently took over the Interim Secretary role but he’s more known for his graphic design talents and developing the look of the jerseys and graphic art on social media.
He was also the Public Address Announcer on game days.
Ice Dogs President Mike Sveinson says “Simply put, the team is better for the time Mike dedicated to it. We aren’t what we are today without him; he leaves big shoes to fill. Mike’s a guy that shied away from public praise, be he’s earned a tonne of it. Thanks for everything Mike”.
Meantime, the Junior Hockey team has announced Shannon Ouelette is stepping back as Treasurer but will remain involved with the organization.
