For the third time this week, there’s has been another confirmed case of COVID-19 in the Kenora area.
There are now 10 active cases of COVID-19 in the Northwestern Health Unit catchment area.
Follow up with the person involved and their contacts has started.
Anyone who is identified as a contact for this case will be contacted directly.
For privacy, NWHU does not release information about the location of COVID-19 test results.
In the meantime, Shoal Lake #40 put out a release says one person was sent to Lake of the Woods District Hospital because of a positive test.
The bands pandemic planning team has instructed the household to self-isolate and is taking proactive measures for the next 14 days.
This brings to 91 the number of positive results so far in the region.
There are now six active cases in the Kenora area, two active cases are in the Dryden/Red Lake region, with one of those reported by the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board at Open Roads School in Dryden and two in the Sioux Lookout region.
In all, there were just over 14 hundred cases in Ontario today.
