The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board has received notification of a positive COVID-19 case at Open Roads Public School in Dryden.
The Board and the school are working closely with Northwestern Health Unit on next steps.
All contacts of the case are being called and given instructions by public health.
KPDSB continues to work with the health unit to make sure all potential risks are minimized.
Staff and students not contacted by public health are asked to self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 and can continue to attend school as usual.
For privacy, the health unit and the Board minimize sharing personal information about any case of COVID-19 and encourage others to avoid identifying individuals.
Information around the confirmed case(s) has been added to KPDSB’s COVID-19 Advisory Page on the Board website.
As per Ministry requirements, all confirmed cases in schools will be uploaded to this page.
