Porter Airlines won’t be flying again in 2020.
The company has announced flights will remain grounded until February 11 due to rising COVID-19 cases and ongoing travel restrictions.
Porter suspended service March 21 after the pandemic hit.
President and CEO Michael Deluce says travel demand has been suffocated to the point that a return to sustainable levels of passenger traffic is highly unlikely for the rest of the year.
He notes the post-holiday January period is traditionally slow.
