Some support may be available for the Dryden District Agricultural Society.
The province is investing $5 million to help offset revenue losses for eligible agricultural societies impacted by the cancellation of fall fairs and exhibits during COVID-19 restrictions.
Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Ernie Hardeman says agricultural and horticultural organizations play a vital role in communities across rural Ontario and the government wants to preserve the rich tradition of fall fairs, exhibitions and activities that are key to local economies and mainstay of life.
Hardeman says the additional money will help support organizations during this difficult period so they can continue operating.
