Great news from General Motors for the City of Oshawa.
GM and Unifor reached an agreement this week that will see GM invest 1.3 billion in their Oshawa plant that was closed in 2018. The investment is necessary to convert the former automobile assembly line to produce trucks.
Starting in January of 2022, the plant will build full-sized GM trucks like the Chevy Silverado.
Full-sized trucks are currently the most popular vehicles in North America.
