The Dryden Food Bank is launching a new Home Delivery program in October.
The service is for older clients, those with physical disabilities, individuals struggling with mental health issues or with chronic illness.
The program will be offered once a week on Wednesdays and clients must live within City limits.
Clients must be pre-approved through an application process and must be home when the food is delivered.
Eligibility:
-Seniors who are facing issues of age, physical disabilities or chronic illness
-People who are unable to access the food bank due to a permanent or temporary disability
-Single parent homes with large family and no means of transportation
-Individuals or families that the Manager deems eligible
Note:
For those with physical disability, chronic illness, permanent or temporary disability a signed Professional Endorsement note must be presented with the application. (Example: Doctor, police, social worker, pastor)
Operation:
-Program will be offered once a week (Wednesdays)
-Clients must live within the City of Dryden
-Clients must be pre-approved through an application process and deemed eligible
-Eligible clients must request delivery when phoning and booking a hamper
-Eligible clients must give address when booking hamper and must be at home when food is delivered
-No food will be left unless client is at the dwelling to receive food.
