There are nearly 500 new COVID-19 cases in Ontario.
Health units across the province reported 491 positive tests by the end of yesterday. That’s the highest daily increase in cases since the beginning of May.
There have been nearly 49,900 total case since the start of the pandemic.
It’s been just over a week since the province lowered the limits for private social gatherings. At the time, Premier Doug Ford said the restrictions of ten people indoors and 25 people outdoors would be in place until October 17th.
