The Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority is reporting a sixth case of COVID-19 in the remote northern community of Kasabonika Lake First Nation.
Contact tracing uncovered a new case on the weekend.
Public Health Physician Dr. John Guilfoyle says those infected are doing well and are being closely monitored.
Dr. Guilfoyle says health officials are still investigating and doing contact tracing.
“The important thing for community members is to realize that if you have symptoms, call the nursing station, get assessed and you will most likely be offered a test.”
Dr. Guilfoyle adds “A significant exposure is being in their presence for more then 15 minutes, less than six feet apart and not wearing a mask.”
