The organizers of Dryden’s first Fall Fest say everything is running smoothly and excitement is building for next months event.
However, volunteers are still needed to help run all activities.
Fall Fest consists of:
October 17-Harvest Hay Day
October 24-The Laura Howe Haunt
October 31st-Trunk-or-Treat
Laina Smith was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show Thursday to provide an update.
Smith says “We will be needing volunteers to help with our Children’s Treat-and-Trees Walk. Especially the set-up and take down. As well as we’re looking for help in making sure that we stay in our event occupancy.”
She adds “Looking for vendors to sell their wares. We have eight spots left at the Hay Day. Candy donations for Treats-and-Trees Walk. As well as donations of straw bails and corn stocks as well as rope to cordon off the event area.”
As for support for October 24 Smith explains “Daytime set-up as well as scarers for the actual Haunt, which is from 6:30pm-8:30pm. And lastly we are looking for volunteers to help tear down the marsh after the haunt.”
All events are free and geared towards families and are taking place at the Laura Howe Marsh.
