The Labour Day weekend was a busy one for police across Ontario.
say that they responded to two fatal collisions over the long weekend, as well as one fatal off-road incident.
The OPP stopped well over 8,400 vehicles and laid over 8,200 charges during the four-day span.
Almost 6,000 of those were for speeding, 250 for not wearing a seat belt and just over 100 for driving under the influence.
Those numbers do not include tickets or fines issued by any force other than the OPP.
