The City of Dryden has introduced new penalties for those who are caught feeding wildlife.
Council has approved a bylaw with set fines of $200 and $300.
It states no land owner within City limits can intentionally feed, provide or make available food.
Land owners will also be required to remove any attractants on their property.
There are some exceptions including bird feeders that are at least two metres above ground.
The Chief Building Official, By-law Enforcement Officers and members of the Dryden Police Service will be in charge of enforcement.
Fine Schedule:
1. Intentional Feeding of Wildlife: $300 Fine
2. Place or allow any Device or material to attract Wildlife: $200
3. Failure to remove Attractants: $200
4. Failure to modify or remove Device: $200
