Enbridge Gas has started to restore natural gas service in Red Lake.
The company says inside access to homes and businesses is needed to safely turn on gas appliances.
Officials note the service resumption is expected to take three to four days as they work their way through the town starting with essential community services.
Enbridge representatives will have identification and will leave information on scheduling an appointment if you aren’t home.
The public is asked to not relight your gas appliances.
Homeowners can assist out-of-town crews by posting a sign on their front door, or in their window, that states the street number and street name of their home.
