An additional $500 million is being spent to keep staff and students at Ontario schools safe in September.
The government says it will allow school boards to make adjustments locally, including using non-school property for smaller class sizes, and therefore more physical distancing.
$18-million will also improve on-line learning, including hiring more principals and staff to help students.
In addition, the province is spending $50-million for improved ventilation and air quality.
There will be focus on older schools, especially in communities where there are more cases of COVID-19.
