A severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for Dryden, Ignace, Kenora and Fort Frances.
Environment Canada says conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
Areas near the International border will see some strong thunderstorms this morning. However, additional strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon into this evening.
At 11:00 am, Doppler Radar showed a large thunderstorm system moving through Fort Frances/International Falls and tracking in a NE direction toward the Dryden area
