Although plenty of events have been cancelled due to COVID-19, there is still one big event happening this year on Northwestern Ontario.
The 2020 Sioux Lookout Blueberry Festival kicks off this Friday and features a mix of virtual and in-person events.
The event will go until August 9th and feature 60 events including old favourites and some new events as well.
Event Coordinator Jessica Darling was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show and says a couple of their big events include the Drive-Through Opening Ceremony and Blueberry Bert’s Birthday.
Darling also says all in-person events will be following all proper health protocols and masks are encouraged as well.
