$4 billion dollars in federal and provincial funding is coming to Ontario communities.
Premier Doug Ford says this funding announcement is him keeping his promises to the people of Ontario.
“I made a commitment that I would fight for municipalities, and transit and so when we went to the federal table I did just that,” Ford says.
The money is meant to help offset the costs of COVID-19 and ensure municipalities can continue to offer important services. $2 billion dollars in funding is going towards transit.
