The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board has released its 2020-2021 School Year Calender.
The school year will start on Thursday, September 3 with two days of classes leading into the September Labour Day Weekend. While a pre-Labour Day start has been panned by many, starting a week later would mean classes before – and after – Canada Day.
The School Year Calendar gives no hint as to how classes will actually look this year or if they will start on-line, in classrooms or a combination of both.
School Boards across the nation continue to wrestle with the implications of COVID-19 and the pandemic’s effect on schools.
