Provincial Police in Sioux Lookout are urging residents to drive sober as five impaired drivers have been charged in six days.
Police say one incident took place on July 3rd where police were called to a minivan in a ditch on Highway 664.
OPP say once they arrived they found that the 19 year old driver had been drinking and was unlicensed.
In another incident police say on July 5th they responded to a report of a possible impaired driver at the parking lot of a local hotel.
After assessment the police determined the 30 year old driver had a blood alcohol level over twice the legal limit.
Both of the accused face operation while impaired charges.
Police say another incident took place on July 4th as a car was reported in a ditch on Highway 72.
OPP then say the lone occupant was transported to the hospital with minor injuries and the police found the driver to be impaired.
Police also say breath demands were refused so the 31 year old driver faces Operation While Impaired and Failure or Refusal to comply with demand charges.
Police then say another incident took place on July 4th as they received a report of a possible impaired driver in the parking lot of a local business on Fifth Avenue South.
Police were also told of recent damage to the vehicle and on the private property.
After assessment police say they determined the driver had a blood alcohol concentration three times over the legal limit.
Police say the 26-year-old has been charged with Operation while Impaired and Failure to comply with Probation Order.
Police say on July 8th they conducted a well-being check on the driver of an SUV parked in a rest area along Highway 72.
Police then conducted a roadside alcohol test and the driver subsequently failed.
Police say the 46-year-old was charged with Operation while impaired.
