Another part of getting back to normal in the province is child-care.
Daycare centres in Ontario were a part of the Stage 3 announcements from the province.
Education Minister Stephen Lecce says as of July 27th child care centres be able to operate with a maximum of 15 children per cohort. That is up from the current 10 children.
“So today’s changes will allow the sector to reach approximately 90 percent capacity it did pre-COVID,” explains Lecce.
The education minister notes there will be continued strict health and safety requirements in place at the centres.
Lecce adds, “We know how critical child care is to ensure all moms and dads can return to work safely.”
