Workers and those looking for work can now get safety training while keeping a safe physical distance.
Premier Doug Ford is announcing the free online training for up to 100,000 workers.
The province is offering ten courses including infection control and preventing workplace violence and harassment.
Meanwhile, there is still no word when the province will enter the next stage of re-opening.
Ford says while Ontario has fewer than 200 new cases each day, some businesses won’t be allowed to open yet.
“Since it’s going to be the last stage, we want to make sure our T’s are crossed, our I’s are dotted, and make sure everyone’s safe,” Ford says.
“You see what’s happening when you move too quickly, you see what’s happening south of the border. We don’t want that happening up here, we’re trying to do everything we can to open up safely,” Ford adds.
