A Manitoba man faces 22 criminal charges following a scary incident at Rideau Hall in Ottawa.
The RCMP reports 46 year old Corey Hurren was arrested on Thursday after an armed man gained access to the grounds of the Govenor General’s residence and the prime minister’s temporary home.
Police rushed to the scene and the man surrendered peacefully.
Reports say he is a member of the Canadian Armed Forces reserves.
Hurren is being held in custody and his next court appearance is July 17th in Ottawa.
