A vehicle stop in Kashechewan has led to drug charges by Nishnawbe Aski Police.
Police say on June 26th they conducted the stop for a man that was wanted by police.
Police then say during the stop they found lots of money in the vehicle and further investigation led to finding a pill bottle containing methamphetamine pills.
Police say they seized 451 Methamphetamine pills worth an estimated $42,100
Police also say they seized over $24,000 in Canadian currency.
As a Result of the investigation 35 year old Chris Wesley, 37-year-old Kenny Wynne and 36-year-old Adam Wesley of Kashechewan First Nation face charges of Possession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Two of the individuals were subsequently released on conditions and will next appear in court on August 20, 2020 in Kashechewan. The third individual was remanded into custody on previous charges.
