It’s time to honour a local caregiver for going above and beyond the call of duty during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Canadian Abilities Foundation has launched its 7th Annual Canada Cares Caregiver Awards.
Nominations will be for workers who care for children with disabilities, elderly parents or loved ones who need assistance.
Executive Director Caroline Tapp-McDougall says one deserving recipient will receive 10-thousand dollars.
Tapp-McDougall is also asking you to nominate someone who demonstrate dedication, tenacity and commitment to care.
The recipient of the award will be determined based on the strength of the individuals commitment to care and the level of need.
The nomination deadline is September 25th.
