A heat warning is out for much of the Northwest.
Environment Canada issued the alert for almost the entire region, except for the City of Thunder Bay, the Nipigon area, and the far north.
The forecast shows temperatures near 30 degrees for the next few days, and overnight lows near 18 degrees providing little relief from the heat.
Environment Canada says high heat is especially dangerous for young children, anyone who is pregnant, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors. Heat illness can cause swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and the worsening of some health conditions.
