In light of COVID should face masks for customers be made mandatory by all businesses where physical distancing is not possible?
As businesses and places of work continue to return to a so-called state of ‘normal’ many have a “No mask, no service” policy already in place. I haven’t entered a local business that is doing that yet, but maybe you have.
Most if not all businesses that are open have hand sanitizers readily available as you enter. Some are doing more than that with screening questions. It’s for your protection and the safety of employees that these practises are in place. Keep that it mind.
Don’t ever think of these procedures as a waste of time in light of our area’s very low COVID infection numbers. It’s because of us having done what we were asked to do over the last few months – washing our hands, physical distancing and staying home when we can – that our reported COVID cases for Sunset Country have been held to a minimum. You’re doing a great job! Keep it up.
Yes – keep it up, because it’s not over. I recently chatted with a couple of Health Care professionals – one in Dryden, one in Southern Ontario – who are in agreement. A second ‘wave’ of the COVID-19 virus, in their opinion, is a sure thing. Most likely late in the Fall. And it’s expected to be about the same in intensity as the first wave. Well that’s ok for our area of Sunset Country isn’t it?! We’ve had low infection numbers. Yes we have – because we are all doing a great job and following health guidlines. Keep it up.
It’s been a frustrating time for some of us having to adapt to change but we’ve done it to help ourselves and others around us. Good job! Keep it up.
Face masks of all kinds have been appearing as an added layer of protection for some. Not everyone is using one. Are you?
I’m used to wearing a mask. But maybe you knew that…..
I have however opted a few times to wear the one seen below. On one occasion it was a business guideline must as I had an optometrist appointment.
There are all sorts of face masks available to protect us and those around us. Even masks for those who help or are around people who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Will you be wearing a face mask today? Let’s hope we don’t have to even consider wearing one in 2021….except of course if you want to wear a Spidey mask! I would be ok with that.
Stay protected. Stay safe.
