The Northwestern Health Unit is still recommending to avoid non-essential travel within Canada during the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, Acting Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ian Gemmill says he understands people are anxious to hit the road and visit family and friends and there’s nothing stopping you from doing that.
“Do all the things that you are supposed to do. Avoid the crowded areas. Avoid situations where people are shouting or singing.”
Dr. Gemmill adds you should self-monitor, not self-isolate, when returning home.
If you are returning from International travel you must self-isolate for 14 days.
