Tbaytel is reporting a number of success stories over the past year.
The company has released its 2019 Report to the Community.
President and CEO Dan Topatigh says they “Managed high water marks on both revenue and our earnings. That really comes from our growth in the region. We’ve completed our fibre build in Dryden and as well as Kenora.”
Tbaytel generated $196.8-million in revenue for 2019.
Topatigh says a highlight was branching our across the northwest.
“Dryden and Kenora and Fort Frances are obviously logical locations for us. We have strong markets on the mobility side. We have excellent brand recognition and we’ve really always been here to serve northwestern Ontario.”
He adds they continue to bring state-of-the-art fibre technology to Thunder Bay, with 90% of the city expected to be connected by the end of 2020.
Topatigh says the strong results are proof of their continued success and commitment as an employer.
“I think we’re one of the companies inside of this region who focuses on ensuring that we bring good service, good technology, and good quality of live to all of northwestern Ontario.”
Topatigh says another major accomplishment in 2019 was their annual sponsorship program.
“Tbaytel for Good campaign is really at the centre of making sure that we can give back to all the communities we serve and find creative ways to support groups that otherwise would have some great difficulty trying to accomplish the great things that they are doing as well.”
He notes over $562,000 was donated to 158 organizations in 14 communities.
