An in-depth look is being taken into how the City of Dryden operates
A service delivery and organizational review is well underway.
Chief Administrative Officer Roger Nesbitt says this gives them an opportunity to have a third party examine their municipal operations and identify efficiencies and improvements.
Nesbitt says the review will also help identify priorities the City should focus on to ensure a sustainable future.
“It’s an excellent point in time for use to conduct such a review. As many of the changes that we’ve have made over the past few years are starting to bare fruit. And we’re coming to the end of that heavy debt servicing load that we’ve faced for quite a few years now.”
The review is fully funded by the provincial government.
Nesbitt says they are currently looking over the data and a final report with recommendations is expected in September.
As part of the exercise Dryden residents are being asked to chime in and provide their opinion on municipal services.
An online survey is now available.
Staff want to identify Municipal priorities and determine required adjustments to Municipal service levels.
