Another ‘Severe Thunderstorm Watch’ has been issued for much of our area.
The watch went into effect at 3:30 this afternoon.
Environment Canada is calling for thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
The risks include:
-damaging wind gusts of 90 to 110 km/h
– Quarter to half dollar size hail
– Risk of a tornado
The area includes Dryden, Red Lake, Ear Falls, Fort Frances, Kenora and other sections of Northwestern and far Northern Ontario near the Manitoba border as well as the City of Winnipeg.
Storms could occure this evening into tonight.
At 4 PM, a large system of storms was advancing from the southwest toward Winnipeg, Steinbach and eastern Manitoba near the Ontario border.
