I never had a lemonade or refreshment stand when I was younger. Sure there were lots of kids my age who did at that time….but that wasn’t me.
If it was I would probably would have been like all the other kids back then and I would have taken ALL the proceeds and bought myself whatever I could afford. Every last nickel and dime would have been spent on comics, gum and candy.
I never raised money for a charitable cause when I was younger either. Did you?
Today’s generation of entrepreneurs are different. Sure they still like to work to get something for themselves but many of them are also thinking of others. Credit has to go to the parents and caregivers who have instilled that value in today’s youngsters! Well done.
For the second day in a row during Sunset Country’s hot, humid weather you’ll find a couple of young neighbors teaming up to keep you hydrated and the Dryden Food Bank stocked.
You’ll find Parker and Taneal across from the Dryden Public Works building selling freezies and some chilled ice tea! Just what we are going to need today.
A portion of the proceeds from the freezie-ice tea stand will be going to the Dryden Food Bank! I’m told that Taneal and Parker will be ready to serve you starting at noon today.
Taneal says there will be hand sanitizer on the table.
So why not drop by! Get hydrated. Make a generous donation. And make sure you let Parker and Taneal know how much you appreciate what they are doing for others.
