It was a quiet weekend on the forest fire front in northwestern Ontario.
There was only one new start.
Fort Frances 4 was discovered Saturday near Highway 502, approximately 42 kilometres northeast of Fort Frances near Big Sawbill Lake.
The 0.1 hectare fire was out the same day.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is reporting two active fires in the region, both of which are under control.
The fire hazard is mainly high in the Northwest region with a pocket of extreme in the Red Lake sector.
