A major accomplishment for students at Lillian Berg School in Vermilion Bay.
The school accepted a Scholastic Publishing challenge to read 100 books.
The campaign was derailed thanks to COVID-19 but staff at Lillian Berg picked up the challenge virtually last week, and within 6 days their students had read and logged 100 books.
Scholastic has pledged to donate 200,000 books to children and families in need for eligible schools who reach the goal.
Staff at the school say “We are very proud of our students! It is so very important to stay connected with our school community, no matter how small and simple a task may seem.”
