New Prospect School in Dryden is supporting families with the transition to Kindergarten.
The school is offering virtual shadow days every Tuesday and Thursday through their Facebook page.
Instructor Jennifer Stemkens says other support services are in place.
“We work closely with parents as they know their child best and have lots of information about their child’s strengths and interests. At school we embed self-regulation and mindfulness strategies into all aspects of our school day. Not only do we have mindfulness strategies and calming areas in our classrooms, we also have a Ready to Learn room where students can access self-regulation equipment to help students get in the zone to learn.”
Stemkens adds New Prospect offers supportive learning teams.
“Every class has two educators; a classroom teacher and an early childhood educator who are experts in providing support and age appropriate learning to suit all students’ unique learning styles.”
Registration for Kindergarten is now being accepted.
