I’m struggling with this one. I really am.
If you live in Dryden you undoubtedly by now have seen what I call my ‘encouragement sign’ that adorns my yard’s chain link fence. You really can’t miss it. I think I made it big enough…didn’t I?
The sign message (seen here) in light of COVID-19 was made quite a while ago. It reminded you to ‘stay home’ as much as possible to stop the spread of the virus.
Yesterday I changed one word in the message.
I changed that one word because by the looks of statistics we’re doing a good job in Northwestern Ontario. We’ve had very few cases of COVID-19 and provincial restrictions are starting to be loosened.
We’re all educated now on what we need to do to prevent the increase of cases. Physical distancing, wash your hands frequently, if you’re not feeling well stay home….and so on.
So. Are we ready? Are you ready to live this new….normal? Or are you going back to your old normal? Relaxed yet?
By the looks of in-city traffic these days, the warmer weather is making us much more active. Looks like lots of us are relaxing. But we’re all remembering what we need to do…aren’t we?
I hope I haven’t changed my sign message to soon. It was only one word. How much of a difference could it be?
Stay safe.
