The Chief Medical Officer of Health is giving the idea of increasing the size of public and private group gatherings serious consideration.
That’s according to Health Minister Christine Elliott as talk ramps up that the province is ready to bump the number up from 5 people.
“That is something that we are studying very closely right now. The idea of bubbling, cohorting, increasing the numbers because I know people are wanting to spend more time with family and friends.
Elliott adds “With the warmer weather coming I know people will want to be getting together for barbeques and other occasions. So we are looking at the safest and healthiest way to do that.”
Elliott says you can expect an announcement this week.
