The number of positive COVID-19 cases in the Northwestern Health Unit cathcment area is now up to 18.
The latest case has been reported in Sioux Lookout.
Officials say the are following up on the case and notifying known contacts.
Another new case was reported yesterday but the person doesn’t live in the region, and was listed as part of the health unit due to an old address.
You are once again asked to follow health rules including physical distancing, wash your hands often, and disinfect commonly touched surfaces regularly.
16 people have recovered from the virus.
2,035 tests have come back negative, while officials are awaiting the results of 1,241.
