The Municipality of Sioux Lookout is ensuring residents know about their fire restrictions as a Restricted Fire Zone will be lifted on Saturday.
Officials say individuals without a burning permit may burn two hours before sunset and must extinguish the fire two hours after sunrise.
The municipality also states that fires must be supervised at all times and must be completely extinguished when finished.
The individual responsible for lighting the fire must have some type of suppression tool such as a rake, hose with water or shovel.
Finally officials say if emergency personnel must attend to extinguish a fire, the person who ignited the fire will be responsible for all of the costs associated with putting the fire out.
