There are many people ‘out there’ who do things just to help others. My youngest and I did our part yesterday. Here’s the story….
Despite a bit of rain Wednesday afternoon Michaela and I braved the elements to ‘rescue’ some ginger snaps from Sally and Allan Coulson. Yes I did say ‘rescue’. That is the proper word to be used in recounting the what could have been horrifying moment in time.
Sally had said that the snaps were outside in the cold waiting to be ‘rescued’ after refusing to go back in to their home. Michaela and I answered the call of cookie duty and found the ginger delights a new warm ‘home’ (the bottom of our stomachs).
There was one small incident during the rescue in which as you can see in this picture ended peacefully. One of the gingers fell out the bottom of the bag or the top – I can’t remember which – and was dropping rapidly to the ground. I did what I had to do….made a flying leap….mouth open and….yeah. It all happened to fast to catch the event on video. And that’s my story.
Thanks again Sally for allowing us to rescue the gingers! Much appreciated. 😊❤😊
Now….anyone else have cookies or baking that needs to be ‘rescued’?!? Let me know.
We’re all in this together!
