Still no clear date for restaurant and pub owners in Ontario on when they can start reopening.
Premier Doug Ford admits “It’s tough right now for them. Their holding on by their fingernails. I just want to tell them just hang in there. We’re going to be there to support you, we’ve put other supports in place.”
Ford adds “As quickly as these (COVID-19) numbers come down, we are going to be able to open up and practice social distancing. I’ve talked to a lot of restaurant owners. They already have their plans in place for when that day comes and hopefully it’s going to come sooner than later.”
Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade Vic Fedeli says they take their reopening advice from the Chief Medical Officer of Health, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labour.

The government has announced nurseries and garden centres will be allowed to fully reopen Friday, with hardware stores following on Saturday morning.
