The Dryden Rotary Club is finding more ways to spark some more life into the community during self-isolation and physical distancing.
The club has started its “Colour with Kindness” campaign which invites residents to decorate their trees, fences, shrubs or whatever to brighten the community.
Cynthia Palermo hopes to see everyone take part, stressing everyone in Dryden is impacted by COVID-19.
“We could use all colours. Welcome everybody. Support everybody. Just spread some kindness around and some joy.”
Palermo says the idea came from another initiative where people were decorating their property with red to show support for first responders.
She notes this has been expanded to recognize everyone in the community.
Palermo adds “One of the mandates of Rotary is to basically advance good will. So instead of just spreading good will and sharing it with certain people, we would welcome it to anyone in the community.”
She encourages the public to take a picture and share it on social media using #colourwithkindness
