A Dryden Councillor is calling for more government help for small businesses during the COVID-19 crisis.
Michelle Price says some are worried about their future because of prolonged closures or a drop in revenue.
“I’ve had several calls of concerns from small businesses regarding financial help from the government. There are many businesses at this time that do not fall into the guidelines for available funding or any type of loan.”
Price, a small business owner herself, says they “are worried now if they will survive. I understand the government is still rolling out plans for financial aid to small businesses that are not qualifying for any help. My hope is that this is sooner rather than later.”
She adds “Remember our small business that when they do reopen, remember to shop local. Remember it is the local businesses that are there to support our community at times of requests for donations and funding.”
