The plan to open the province’s post-pandemic economy is welcome news to an official with the Northwestern Ontario Associated Chambers of Commerce.
Charla Robinson says she likes the measures which have been announced to getting businesses back online.
“I appreciate that the government is trying to be very cautious to ensure that we don’t lose the gains that we have made by being closed. It would be really sad to open everything up and then have to close it all down again.”
Robinson adds “It’s a very pragmatic approach, very cautious approach, to help ensure that we can continue to move forward towards more opening up over the longer period and I think that is a positive approach.”
No specific reopening dates have been provided by the government.
