The Chief of Staff at the Dryden Regional Health Centre stresses the hospital is open if you do need emergency care.
Screening remains in place.
Dr. Bruce Cook says they don’t want people staying at home if they are sick and need help because they don’t want someone going from a serious situation to a critical situation.
“If you are feeling unwell, you don’t think you need to go to the emergency department, please know that doctors are still working at the Dingwall Clinic. You can phone the Dingwall Clinic as you would in the past. You may not get an in-person appointment but certainly a doctor will reach out to you for a phone appointment.”
Dr. Cook says based on the results of individual assessments, you may be brought in for a face-to-face appointment or be directed to the Emergency Department or for further testing.
“We want people to stay at home, stay safe, stay isolated. But if you are sick, please let us know.”
Dr. Cook says they are just trying to monitor who is coming in and out and do things on a controlled basis.
The phone number for the Dingwall Medical Clinic is 223-2258.
