The status of professional sports and concerts this Summer remains up in the air in Ontario.
The province still hasn’t come out with firm dates to reopen its economy.
Premier Doug Ford says he wishes he had a crystal ball.
“I’m just praying that it’s going to go the right way until we can possibly do that. But I just don’t want to say right now and I don’t want to commit. No one loves sports more than I do and everyone loves a good concert but we’re working with these areas.”
Ford adds “I know our Minister, Minister McLeod’s working hard, especially in that arena. Working and talking to the people that promote the concerts. Working with the sports franchisees.”
Ford predicts teams will be playing in empty venues when things do get going again.
