Domtar in Dryden has come through with funding to help hospitals across the region purchase needed materials and equipment in the fight against COVID-19.
$5,000 is being shared by the Dryden Regional Health Centre, the Northern Ontario School of Medicine, the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre, the Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital and the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
The mill was also able to provide a small number of personal protective equipment to the Dryden Hospital.
Mill Manager Marie Cyr says “We recognize how challenged the health care system is during this time and we want to offer our support. We hope this contribution can help offset some of the additional financial burden the hospitals are facing during this time. We thank our health care providers for all they are doing in Northwestern Ontario to keep us safe.”
