Ontario’s Minister of Northern Development stresses there will be restrictions for those looking to hunt and fish in the weeks ahead.
Greg Rickford says “Yes this is a great opportunity in the context of the conditions that we have been living under to look forward to some fishing and hunting but those have to be done within the rules that we are still intensely engaging as individuals and as communities and as a province.”
The Kenora-Rainy River MPP notes that means COVID-19 physical distancing regulations must be followed.
Rickford stresses we owe it to our frontline workers, families, friends and neighbours to abide by those rules.
He says this isn’t an opportunity for people who have not been living in the same dwelling or house to jump into a boat together.
