Kenora has its second case of COVID-19.
The Northwestern Health Unit says the person was in close contact with the first case of COVID-19 who was already self-isolating.
Health officials says while daily connection was already being made, further investigation is underway to make sure all personal contacts are identified and are self-isolating.
In all, there are 16 positive cases of coronavirus in the region, four in Atikokan, four in Dryden, two in Kenora, two in Red Lake and one each in Fort Frances, Sioux Lookout and Rainy River.
Twelve people have recovered from the virus, while 693 tests have come back negative.
Health officials are waiting on the results of 277 tests.
