A show of appreciation for all frontline workers in Dryden.
Residents on Wilson Street have followed the lead of those on Eagle Drive to come out each night at 7:30 to say thank you.
Mike Patey was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show Tuesday and he stated he’s very impressed with the amount of people that are coming out to the end of their driveways.
“The first night we had almost 40 people out. Friday night we had close to 50. Last evening, in the cold, we still had about 48 of our neighbours coming out and waving. We’ve had some people come by and love the music and it’s great to know that we are supporting the frontline workers.”
Patey says this a great opportunity to show our appreciation, check on our neighbours and get some fresh air, all while following physical distancing rules.
Patey is encouraging everyone to participate in their neighbourhoods with signs, music and a show of support.
He stresses there’s a number of people involved to ensure we all stay safe during the COVID-19 crisis.
