Airline passengers will have to cover their mouth and nose during their travels, starting this week.
The new rules kick in at noon Eastern time, Monday April 20.
It’s to prevent the spread of COVID-19 at airports and on flights.
Minister of Transport Marc Garneau says you won’t be allowed to board your flight if you don’t show that you have a non-medical mask or other face covering.
You’ll be asked to wear one at screening checkpoints, when you can’t distance from others, and when directed to by airline employees or health officials.
